A set of workshops deliberately designed and sequenced to build skills in one topic, from the fundamentals to advanced techniques. Through community, discussion, and multiple opportunities to practice, teachers hone new strategies they can use right away.
Description
Addressing gaps students is critical to ensure students can engage with on-grade level content. This workshop series focuses on strategies to maintain high standards for students while giving them the responsive support they need to accomplish learning targets. These strategies include methods for scaffolding instruction, using think alouds to explicitly reteach concepts, and using student work as a tool to facilitate inquiry based reteaching. By the end of this workshop series, educators are equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to respond to student learning needs in a targeted and supportive way.
