The Relay Approach
Since Relay Camden opened its doors to aspiring and experienced teachers in summer 2015, we have graduated over 400 teachers. We work strategically to develop and support teachers who will plant roots in the school communities they serve and achieve academic outcomes that transform the student’s trajectory. We have invested in high quality socio-emotional advising, data driven intervention and strategic practice, and provide monthly in-class observations to leverage actionable feedback to improve your practice as an educator.
Faculty
Relay has nearly 140 experienced, supportive faculty across our campuses. Here is one example of a faculty member who teaches and advises our Connecticut students:
“Our children have exponential potential to achieve excellence. It is up to us as educators to foster that greatness, build their confidence, and provide opportunities for them to engage in rigorous content. Our students are our future. We owe it to them to deliver a high quality education.”
- Tiffany Carvalho, Clinical Practice Director
As Clinical Practice Director, Tiffany Carvalho teaches core pedagogy and clinical practice courses. She is a former middle school math teacher with 5 years of experience in the classroom and several years of experience at Relay GSE. Tiffany is born, raised, and educated by Philadelphia and is an active member in her community. As a Relay graduate from the Class of 2017, Tiffany is dedicated to fostering a strong pipeline of exceptional educators for her neighbors' children and the school communities in Philadelphia/Camden.

Relay partners with 6 public school systems and many schools in Pennsylvania. Here is just a sample:
