Educator Summit

This summer, over 450 educators and leading researchers from around the world gathered in Philadelphia for the two-day Character in 3D Educator Summit, hosted by the Relay Graduate School of Education (Relay) and Character Lab.

Building off of last year’s focus on Grit+Imagination, this year’s theme explored the three dimensions of character—interpersonal, intrapersonal and intellectual—or Character in 3D.

The Summit provides an opportunity for educators to connect, collaborate, and hear from thought leaders in the field of character education. This year’s speakers included John B. King Jr., President and CEO of The Education Trust and former Secretary of Education; Angela Duckworth, Founder and CEO of Character Lab; and David Brooks, writer for the NY Times. Relay’s own Mayme Hostetter, Patrick Comstock, and Jennifer Francis also held sessions focusing on practical applications in the classroom.
