The Partnership Process
Relay partners with organizations across the country to ensure their school and system leaders have the practical support they need to create responsive, effective schools.
Working hand-in-hand
At Relay, we care deeply about finding the right professional learning opportunity for every leader. We work closely with schools, school systems, and other organizations to:
- Ensure that you invest in programs that are the right fit for your goals
- Provide support as you select leaders to participate in Relay programming
- Provide data and guidance as leaders progress through their program

If you are new to Relay, we would first like to discuss your goals, learn about your leaders, and answer your questions. Please complete the interest form and you’ll hear from a member of the Relay Partnerships team soon!
If you are a returning Relay partner, please complete the interest form to request a conversation about this year’s programs, and to ensure you’re on the list to be notified when seats open for the Instructional Leadership Academies.
Instructional Leadership Academies Only - Request seats
If you decide to participate in one of our Instructional Leadership Academies, the next step is to request seats. We allocate seats on a first-come, first-served basis. You will need to select summer intensive cohorts (June or July) in this step, but do not need to submit participant names.
Seat request form opens: January 8th, 2024
Seat request form submission deadline:
- NPAF, NPSA, ILPD June Summer Intensive cohort: May 30th, 2024
- NPAF, NPSA, ILPD July Summer Intensive cohort: June 20th, 2024
- ISLI: June 20th, 2024
Note: If your organization requires additional approvals beyond a signed MOU to enter into an agreement (e.g.: a PO, RFP, vendor selection process, School Board vote, etc.), please let us know when you submit your seat request.
Instructional Leadership Academies Only - Select participants
If you have not already selected participants, you should implement a selection process. The Conditions for Effective Partnerships page contains helpful pointers, and we are always available for support!
Instructional Leadership Academies only - Finalize Agreement
Deadlines for NPAF, NPSA, and ILPD June Summer Intensive cohort are:
- Signed MOU and participant list due: June 3rd, 2024
Deadlines for NPAF, NPSA, and ILPD July Summer Intensive cohort are:
- Signed MOU and participant list due: June 25th, 2024
Deadlines for ISLI are:
- Signed MOU and participant list due: June 25th, 2024
Programs begin
NPAF, NPSA, ILPD, and ISLI participants will begin their program in June or July with the Summer Intensive. Please review individual program pages for detailed program dates.
