Weekly Data Meetings 2: Reteach Structure Deep Dive

Workshop Series

Description

Building on the Preparing for Data Meetings series, this next set of workshops deepens teachers’ skills in planning and leading effective reteaches. Teachers will explore two powerful instructional strategies—Discourse and Think Alouds—to address student misunderstandings identified through data. Through hands-on practice and analysis, teachers will learn how to choose the right structure for their instructional goal, select high-leverage student work or tasks, and plan purposeful reteaches that promote clarity and rigor.

What is a curated workshop series?

A set of workshops deliberately designed and sequenced to build skills in one topic, from the fundamentals to advanced techniques. Through community, discussion, and multiple opportunities to practice, teachers hone new strategies they can use right away.

Learning Objectives

Participants will be able to...
  • Plan and practice using student work strategically during instruction to drive discourse and address common misconceptions.
  • Plan and deliver effective Think Alouds that model rigorous thinking and support students in mastering complex content.
