Using Think Alouds to Promote Rigor focuses on how teachers can leverage meta-cognition to explicitly model for students how to think, solve, or write. In this workshop, teachers will analyze examples of strong think alouds and get a chance to practice planning and executing a think aloud within the context of provided case studies.

Participants will be able to...
- Plan and practice using a think aloud to explicitly model for students how to think, solve, or write.
- Plan and practice framing and debriefing the think aloud to ensure students actively learn from the model.
