The Relay DelawareApproach

Since Relay Delaware opened its doors to both aspiring and experienced teachers in summer 2016, we have graduated over 150 teachers. We are proud of the work that our faculty have done to support teachers across the state from Claymont to Delmar. Relay Delaware teachers teach across the state in rural, suburban and urban settings, and most in traditional neighborhood schools.

Faculty

Relay has nearly 140 experienced, supportive faculty across our campuses. Here is one example of a faculty member who teaches and advises our Delaware students:

“It is truly an honor to teach, advise and support Delaware’s next generation of educators. This is an unprecedented time in education. Yet, our graduate students dedicate themselves, day in and day out, to reaching and teaching ALL students. They inspire me daily!”

- Dana Rae Davisson, Program Director of Relay Delaware

Dana Rae Davisson is the Program Director of Relay Delaware. She started her career in education as a TFA Corps Member, teaching first grade in the Greater Philadelphia region. Following that role, Dana transitioned to middle school teaching and school leadership in Wilmington, DE, where she stayed for 10 years before becoming an assistant professor at Relay.

Dana has previously taught Core Pedagogy, and she continues to instruct all Delaware Residents in Deliberate Practice.
