*Relay GSE is an AmeriCorps partner. We strongly encourage you to join the AmeriCorps program if you're eligible, as it aligns with Relay’s commitment to service and the work you do daily as a teacher. Participating students earn a Segal AmeriCorps Education Award upon completion of a full-service term that may be applied to reduce the out-of-pocket cost of tuition. Failure to participate in the AmeriCorps program if you’re eligible means that you are fully aware that Relay will charge you the deferred tuition amount equivalent to the AmeriCorps Segal Education Award and you will be responsible for paying that amount in full.

Nashville is a fast-growing, fast-paced city with a deep history and opportunities for learning and adventure both in the city and in the surrounding area.

About Nashville

Did you know Nashville ranks fifth in the nation for growth? It's not just economic growth either - between 2000 and 2008, Nashville had the fastest immigrant population growth of any city in the country. Today, Nashville is home to the largest Kurdish population in the United States as well as one of the largest Laotian populations. In all, more than 140 different languages can be heard in the hallways of Metro Nashville public schools.

Nashville's rich music, foodie and cultural offerings have increasingly made it a popular destination to visit and live. Enjoy tourist hotspots like the Country Music Hall of Fame and the honky-tonks on Broadway, or check out local destinations like Jack White's Third Man Records and Plaza Mariachi.

Most teachers will need or want a car to get around Nashville. If you're downtown, there are public transit routes to major tourist attractions; the Music City Circuit is a circulator bus offering free service around the city Monday through Saturday, and the Green Circuit and Blue Circuit provide additional service to top destinations.
