Description
Setting Expectations 2.0 deepens teachers’ ability to clearly and confidently communicate expectations by refining the delivery of “what to do” directions. Building on foundational practices from prior sessions, teachers will revisit core techniques and extend them through structured practice and real-classroom scenarios that emphasize active listening, high expectations, and high support—sharpening their tone, clarity, and presence to proactively set students up for success.
2 hour workshop, offered online or in-person. For in-person, you must book a total of at least 3 workshops for a full day of PD.
Learning Objectives
Refine and plan “what to do” directions that are specific, concise, sequential, and student-centered
Refine and rehearse delivering “what to do” directions with a tone of high expectations and high support while encouraging active listening.
Apply and integrate multiple strategies for creating a positive classroom culture in a simulated classroom setting.
